To enrich each individual through an appreciation of Chinese music, and to cultivate their talent and inner beauty through the art of Music.

Our Mission

Provide students with the opportunity to develop their potential in Chinese music. The Kuo Chuan Guzheng Ensemble adopts a holistic approach to nurture each student's talent in this art form while also fostering character development. We equip them with the skills and values necessary to navigate the challenges of the 21st century. We believe that with the right discipline and effective time management, students will become resilient, disciplined, and graceful performers who can exercise personal leadership in all aspects of their lives.

Area of Focus

The Kuo Chuan Guzheng Ensemble aims to equip aspiring young student performers, regardless of their prior experience, with the skills to play the guzheng. We also seek to nurture their interest in performing both Oriental and Western music on this unique instrument. Students will acquire the skills to perform at school and public events while staying abreast with the standards required for the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation. Through this broad exposure, students who meet the necessary standards will have the opportunity to take examinations conducted by The TENG Company and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Certificate of Chinese Instruments Graded Examination.

While we focus on striving for success, we also place a strong emphasis on equipping our student performers with grace, strong moral values, and the skills needed to balance their academic responsibilities.
