1 . CCE Day

The CCE Day is aligned closely to the national movement, SkillsFuture, and the MOE ECG Development Model. The aim of the CCE Day is to equip all students with the knowledge and skills in charting their post-secondary education and career path.

Sec 2	Career Exploration	Exploration of MySkillsFuture portal to explore job requirements and corresponding educational pathways based on student’s interest. Explore work skill assessment and use the result in the review of their preferred occupation’s requirement. ECG lesson to relate student’s strength and inclination in subjects to their preferred occupation exploration.
Sec 3	Career Exploration & Planning	Plan for aspired educational pathways and tentative career options Preparing for demands and requirements of JC and Poly educational pathways Development of social and emotional competencies in the process of preparing for Youth Day Carnival.

2 .Elective Modules The Elective Module is a 4-day applied learning programme for Secondary 3NA students conducted in both Semester 1 and 2 by industrial professionals.

The programme provides students with an opportunity to explore their interests and personal inclinations, to help them in their decision-making for post-secondary courses. Some key highlights of the modules offered were F1 Engineering and Stop Motion Artiste.

3 . Food Entrepreneur Programme.

The Food Entrepreneur Programme is an initiative to provide authentic learning experiences in developing leadership competencies and encouraging a spirit of entrepreneurship for students from the Secondary 3 Normal (Academic) stream.

Students will vie for an opportunity to be mentored by established personalities from the Singapore F&B industry. It will leverage the experiences of these F&B personalities to inculcate values of dare, experimentation and resilience and impart relevant personal leadership skills to thrive in this industry. Students will also be challenged towards having a sense of purpose for career options they are passionate about, to dream big, to be willing to take risks in pursuing dreams and being willing to work hard.

The programme will target students who have an interest to understand more about the F&B industry and be equipped with relevant experiences and skills to explore the various opportunities available in this area. The students will also be given platforms and opportunities to pay it forward to the community. The students will get to apply their learning to lead their classmates in setting up food stalls to raise funds and advocate for various social causes through the school Values In Action programme.

4. The KCPSS VIA Curriculum & Approach

Our VIA Gallery Walk

The phrase “Let your light shine” provides meaning to the space being used whilst reminding students about the impact of their work. Aside from benefitting recipients of the VIA activities, student volunteers who let their light shine through such activities, can also inspire the rest to contribute their bit through showcased works.

The small switch between the phrase “Let your light shine” is to allegorise that they can make a difference to other peoples’ lives if they want to just with a flick of the switch, a simple action. At the same time, the spotlight in the background represents the collective light from the many student volunteers, shining their light and making the world a brighter place, one community at a time.

The sunny smiley faces represent how the beneficiaries perceive the student volunteers: like the sun that dawning on the abyss of darkness, as the students bring light to their life, regardless of the varying contributing approaches the students have to offer.

The types of contributions could be through playing games with the beneficiaries or raising awareness to improve the lives of the beneficiaries through posters and montages. This is highlighted through the use of photos taken during the physical sessions with the beneficiaries. Also, the images evidently show how much the beneficiaries enjoyed what the students had planned for them.

The small icons included in the poster serve to show the importance of teamwork to make the project a success and through that, the beneficiaries are able to receive their love and care.
